THUNDERROCK, TROLL REPRESENTATIVE ON COUNCIL - Brian Blessed!
Needs someone huge with equally huge personality. Thunderrock, with Nimble, gets set up later by Witch/Brankaresh to take the rap for Witch’s breakout from jail but Queen suspects an attempt at framing the pair and doesn’t act as the evil pair expected. Thunderrock is taken in totally by Brankaresh so his treachery later comes as a real blow. Having said that troll survives the overthrow and restoration of the Queen and continues to represent the trolls. Is more literate and intelligent than most of his kind.
NIMBLE, GOBLIN REPRESENTATIVE ON COUNCIL - Joe Armstrong
Needs someone slightly built but athletic enough to run well (JA did this brilliantly in Robin Hood!). Nimble respects L’Evallier a lot. Acts as messenger, as most goblins do. Is not overawed by the Kingdom’s most famous goblin, Roherum, the FNN broadcaster. But Nimble shares that in common with the rest of the realm. Later goes on run with L’Evallier when Queen overthrown. Both help restore villages damaged/destroyed by Witch, putting themselves at risk, given the crone is still in charge of the realm at the time.
D’DATHSON, ORC REPRESENTATIVE ON COUNCIL - Alan Rickman
Needs someone who can act darkly but isn’t necessarily so. It took the royals centuries to persuade factions like the orcs to work with the government instead of fighting it. D’Dathson loathes Eileen (and she him) as she had to kill a rogue orc, who hadn’t accepted the settlement between the orcs and the realm, but he is honourable, isn’t afraid to question the Queen (and indeed finds her attractive, most orcs would not admit to finding anyone other than their own kind desirable). Is usually the one to put awkward questions at Council meetings, the type that even L’Evallier wishes aren’t asked.
