Fairytale laws, broken of course by the villains of the stories, include:
- You will use magic to help others weaker than yourself. Witches, treacherous wizards etc of course wouldn't dream of doing this and scoff at those who do but are nearly always defeated in any magical battle by those who do uphold this. It is the top law for all fairy godmothers.
- You will not show off magically. This is the top law for the evildoers in fairytales. They love showing off and will take every opportunity to do so.
- You will use magic in such a way it limits any damage to the environment. With the witches' recipe book calling for eye of newt amongst other things, they do not uphold this one at all. Most fairy godmothers will (though if ever there was a Rats Right to Be Rats and Not be Magically Transformed Party, then there might be trouble).
