Sweet dishes and cakes have all been imported from Earth - most recognize this as one of the few positive things humanity has given to life in general. The Queen’s cooks, particularly her Head Cook, are acknowledged as artists. Every so often they produce a wide variety of confections to show on FNN to encourage other species to try these recipes out for themselves.
Pixies are surprisingly good at baking - Wes can turn out a really good bread roll for instance - and some of their recipes make it into the royal kitchens as the Queen insists on tasting cuisine from outside her own species on a regular basis.
L’Evallier always refuses to eat anything he knows is produced by a sprite though, much to the annoyance of his boss given this kind of snobbery, to her mind, serves no useful purpose.
Natural features in the Kingdom tend to have magical elements in them, on them or alongside them. Rivers often have speaking trees on their banks. These trees are to be treated with respect - they’re not usually used as transporters but tend to act as guardians for the river dwelling life forms. It is felt they need something or someone that understands the needs of the natural world to speak up for them.
These trees pass messages on branch to branch until they reach the nearest village where it is expected the villagers will deal with whatever the problem is or summon someone who can. This approach did not work with the Chief Witch. She burned the talking trees and the villages and the villagers.
